Speak the name of Jesus. There is no other name higher than the name Jesus. Philippians 2:9-11 states that God exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name. The name of Jesus carries ultimate authority (Matthew 28:18). The name of Jesus is written as a seal upon our hearts, defining us as royal children who belong to the King. When we speak the name of Jesus, there will be a change in the spiritual atmosphere. When we speak the name of Jesus, strongholds are broken, perspectives are altered and faith is ignited. When we speak the name of Jesus, our dispositions change and our vantage point is one of victory. The name of Jesus is not a magic word; it is miraculous and we bear His name.
When fear and anxiety take us hostage, speak the name of Jesus, taking every thought captive unto Christ (2 Cor 10:5b) and the rapid fire of troubled thoughts will be absorbed by His transcendent peace. When the stench of the enemy is rising from the pit, seeking to steal, kill and destroy us, speak the name of Jesus and the fragrance of the Holy Spirit will settle in our spirits like a sweet mist that saturates us in His truth. When the enemy wants us in chains,speak the name of Jesus and those shackles will fracture, crumbling into a million pieces. When the words of condemnation are flying at us with increasing velocity, speak the name of Jesus and those words, designed to lead us back into the prison cells of the Law will be demolished by the finished work of Christ. When the enemy wants to walk a mile with us, shamelessly seeking to unhinge our God-shaped destiny and distort our bearings, speak the name of Jesus and watch that traitor turn on its heels and run (because it has no other option). When the enemy wants to hijack the truth, speak the name of Jesusand the low-life lies will be shattered into oblivion. When the enemy wants to weigh us down under crushing pressure, speak the name of Jesus and He will be our solid rock of stability, stomping on the threats. When the enemy is on our tail, speak the name of Jesus and He will increase our capacity to continue in the passage of life, as we walk on the pathway of His faithfulness.
It is Jesus who bears the weight of every false accusation, every anxious thought, every fear, every failure, every heartache and He will destroy every attempt the enemy makes to hijack our freedom. It is Jesus all the way and when we speak the name of Jesus, the enemy MUST flee.
So, friends, get the name of Jesus on today.
