Welcome to the SCEG website

Vision: An informal, scholarly community of Australian Christians who choose to come together to think deeply about Christian approaches to schooling across all discipline areas to the glory of God.

Purpose: To serve all Christian educators by enhancing the integration of their Christian faith with their teaching, appropriate to their school context, and to collate and conduct research to support this integration.

For further details of the SCEG Mission and Purpose, please see this document.

SCEG is supported by The Excellence Centre at Pacific Hills Christian School and St Andrew’s Cathedral School. The SCEG Convenor is Professor James Dalziel, Dean of Education at Morling College, Professor at the University of Divinity, and Research Fellow at The Excellence Centre.

SCEG is for current and aspiring leaders and researchers in Christian education. Information about SCEG events is provided via email – to join the SCEG mailing list, please email Prof James Dalziel – jamesrdalziel@gmail.com

SCEG typically meets on a Friday twice a year at St Andrew’s Cathedral School in the Sydney CBD – usually around April/May and October. Event details are sent out to the SCEG mailing list around 6 weeks ahead of each meeting. There is no cost for attending SCEG meetings thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Excellence Centre and St Andrew’s Cathedral School.
